Description

Summary:

  • Duration: 12 Months

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the design for Liquids Pump station facilities for expansion and maintenance capital projects executed by third-party engineering firms.
  • Ensure compliance with company standards, specifications, and industry standards, while managing project budget and schedule.
  • Act as a liaison with other company functional groups within Project Execution, Operations, and Shared Services to ensure project and company requirements are achieved and incorporated into design deliverables.
  • Manage third-party engineering consultants to ensure all design deliverables meet quality standards while maintaining budget and schedule.
  • Ensure that all pump station facilities are designed in accordance with regulations, applicable industry codes, and corporate standards.
  • Design electrical components and interconnects.
  • Review and approve design deliverables, such as drawings, technical reports, and material listing sheets.
  • Participate in design review meetings with engineering firms, Project Managers, Operations, and Construction personnel to discuss scope, design, and expected performance, as well as work out constructability issues.
  • Review vendor materials quotations, prepare technical evaluations, and recommend selections based on technical merit, price, and delivery.
  • Actively identify and communicate new lessons learned and quality incidents for assigned projects.
  • Support department initiatives as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 4 years of industry experience.

Preferred Skills:

  • Capable of working independently, managing multiple projects, and prioritizing tasks accordingly.
  • Problem-solving issues through the use of standards, modification of standards, and/or previous experience.
  • Effectively communicate technical issues and impacts to other technical and non-technical staff.

Working Conditions:

  • 80% of work is office-based, working with multiple project teams.
  • 20% of time is in the field scoping projects or supporting procurement, construction, and commissioning activities.
  • Time-sensitive deliverables.
  • Work requires strong computer skills, typically using Microsoft Office applications.
