Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the design, development, validation, and production transition of electrical systems and test equipment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in electrical design, test procedure development, validation testing, and creation of engineering drawings for assemblies and cable harnesses.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop electrical test equipment to support product validation and manufacturing activities.
- Create detailed test procedures, test plans, and documentation for engineering and production testing.
- Perform electrical and functional testing for engineering design validation and product qualification.
- Support transition of products from engineering development into production.
- Create and maintain electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and cable/harness drawings.
- Analyze test results and prepare technical reports documenting findings and recommendations.
- Troubleshoot electrical systems, test setups, and hardware issues during development and production phases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, manufacturing, quality, and project management.
- Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, quality requirements, and safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering, testing, or product validation.
- Experience designing electrical test equipment and test fixtures.
- Proficiency in developing and executing test procedures.
- Experience creating electrical schematics, assembly drawings, and cable harness drawings.
- Knowledge of measurement and test equipment such as oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, and data acquisition systems.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting new product introduction (NPI) and transition to production.
- Familiarity with CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, SolidWorks Electrical, or similar tools.
- Experience in aerospace, defense, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
- Understanding relevant electrical standards and regulatory requirements.
