A reputable engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Engineer with a focus on Water/Wastewater projects to join their growing team in Indianapolis! Â
Responsibilities:
- Plan production for industrial (water/wastewater) and environmental facilities
- Coordinate design elements with other in-house disciplines (architecture, structures, environmental, site civil, and landscape design)
- Define equipment, layout, and protection requirements for new and retrofit distribution stations in accordance with all applicable industry codes and standards
- Communicate with clients to determine requirements then develop appropriate distribution station plans/specifications
- Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on system layout, SCADA controls, automation, and instrumentation
- Prepare electrical calculations for power distribution (low/medium voltage), lighting, controls, and fire alarm systems
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering (ABET-accredited preferred) or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience
- Water/wastewater treatment experience preferred
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or the ability to obtain it within 12 months of hire)
- Working knowledge of power distribution (low and medium voltage), standby power systems, instrumentation, controls, lighting, and fire alarm systems
- Familiar with ICC, NEC, NFPA building codes, LEED building standards
- Proficient with AutoCAD and Revit design software
- Proficient with MS office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
