Location: Dallas/Ft Worth region (hybrid, 3x/wk onsite)

Job Summary
Our client, a global leader in advanced autonomous and robotic solutions across multiple industries, is seeking an Electrical Engineer III responsible for designing, integrating, and validating low-voltage electrical systems for autonomous vehicle and robotic platforms. Leads subsystem-level electrical integration, component selection, wire harness design, troubleshooting, and hardware validation while collaborating closely with mechanical and embedded software teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, select, and integrate electrical components for low-voltage vehicle systems.
  • Develop and maintain wire harness designs using Zuken or similar tools.
  • Lead electrical integration for assigned vehicle subsystems and manage hardware/software interfaces.
  • Perform electrical diagnostics and validation using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and CAN tools.
  • Support HIL validation and vehicle field testing; troubleshoot issues identified during testing and deployment.
  • Collaborate with vendors and purchasing teams on component evaluation and procurement.
  • Document electrical designs, test results, and integration procedures using Git, EPDM, or similar tools.
  • Support engineering reviews and ensure designs meet applicable safety and compliance requirements.
  • Mentor junior engineers and provide technical guidance on subsystem integration.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • 5–10 years of experience designing and integrating electrical systems for vehicles, robotics, or complex electromechanical systems.
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage vehicle electrical systems (<60V) and wire harness design.
  • Proficiency with Zuken or similar electrical design tools.
  • Experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and CAN communication tools.
  • Familiarity with embedded systems and basic firmware concepts.
  • Experience with Git or other version control systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred
  • Experience with autonomous vehicles, robotics, or heavy equipment.
  • HIL validation and field testing experience.
  • Familiarity with Altium Designer or similar tools.
  • Experience working with suppliers and electrical component procurement.
