About the Role:

Reporting to the Manager, Hardware Engineering, User Facing Systems, the Electrical Engineer III is responsible for the design, development, and sustainment of electrical systems that underpin Hach products. This includes power architecture, control electronics, and sensor interfaces that directly impact product performance, reliability, and scalability.

In This Role, a Typical Day Will Look Like:

• Leading the design and development of electrical subsystems, including power systems, control electronics, and sensor interfaces.
• Owning technical solutions across new product development and sustaining engineering activities.
• Diagnosing and resolving complex issues impacting product performance, reliability, manufacturability, and customer experience.
• Developing and executing verification strategies to ensure designs perform reliably across environmental and operational conditions.
• Participating in system architecture discussions and influencing key technical decisions.
• Collaborating with mechanical, software, systems, manufacturing, quality, and product management teams to deliver robust and scalable solutions.
• Conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions for field and manufacturing issues.
• Evaluating emerging technologies and recommending improvements that enhance product capability and reliability.

The Essential Requirements of the Job Include:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within product development and/or sustaining engineering environments.
• Strong experience in circuit design, system integration, testing, and troubleshooting.
• Demonstrated success independently leading technical workstreams and solving complex engineering problems.
• Experience working in cross-functional product development teams.

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate's position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Incentive Pay.
