Electrical Engineer II

This role will be responsible for creating electrical designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting construction activities, and ensuring projects meet client expectations, code requirements, and project schedules. Experience working on a wide variety of project types including commercial, educational, healthcare, municipal, office, and public facilities.

$95,000 - $105,000/year+ based on experience
Position Summary
Seeking an Electrical Engineer II to support the design and development of electrical systems for a diverse portfolio of commercial building projects. This role will be responsible for creating electrical designs, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, supporting construction activities, and ensuring projects meet client expectations, code requirements, and project schedules. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working on a variety of project types rather than repetitive building designs.
Key Responsibilities

• Design electrical systems including power distribution, lighting, emergency power, fire alarm, and security systems.
• Develop BIM/Revit models and coordinate designs with multidisciplinary project teams.
• Perform construction administration tasks including site observations, shop drawing reviews, and punch lists.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and code officials throughout project execution.
• Support project scope, schedule, and quality objectives while ensuring code compliance.
• Mentor junior designers and contribute to successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of electrical design experience for commercial building projects.
• 2+ years of experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams.
• Experience with design-build, design-bid-build, fast-track, and other project delivery methods.
• Proficiency with Revit MEP and related engineering software.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional Engineer (PE) license or Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
• Experience with aviation, higher education, healthcare, hospitality, entertainment, or government facility projects.
• Experience working on a wide variety of project types including commercial, educational, healthcare, municipal, office, and public facilities.
