    Job Title: Electrical Engineer (Hybrid)

    We are helping a multi-discipline full-service MEP Engineering and Architecture Firm with an electrical engineer for their growing Detroit team

    Responsibilities:

    Develop electrical system designs including power distribution, lighting, controls, fire alarm, and low-voltage infrastructure

    Perform calculations and create detailed documentation for electrical layouts

    Ensure all design work adheres to applicable codes, standards (such as NEC and NFPA), and client-specific requirements

    Produce technical drawings, reports, and studies supporting project needs

    Assist with data collection and evaluation in support of engineering analyses

    Work closely with architecture teams, mechanical engineers, and other disciplines to coordinate electrical systems within the overall design

    Apply sustainable strategies aligned with green building goals such as LEED and WELL certifications

    Conduct reviews of submittals, RFIs, and shop drawings during construction phases

    Participate in client meetings to gather requirements and recommend system approaches

    Explain technical subjects clearly to both technical team members and non-technical audiences

    Mentor junior team members and conduct reviews of their work to ensure quality and compliance

    Stay informed on industry best practices, updated codes, and innovative technologies

    Occasional travel may be necessary

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution

    5 – 7 years of experience within the architecture/engineering field

    Active PE license in the U.S.

    Proficient in Revit

    Familiarity with lighting analysis tools

    Interest in renewable energy and sustainable design is a plus
