Job Summary

We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to support the engineering and product development teams in the design and delivery of large-scale, modular hyperscale data center infrastructure projects. This role is responsible for the electrical scope throughout the project lifecycle, including design, manufacturing support, construction, testing, installation, and commissioning.

 

Job Description

  • Develop, review, and approve electrical engineering drawings, calculations, and technical documentation in accordance with industry standards.
  • Design and support electrical systems for modular data center infrastructure.
  • Prepare electrical engineering deliverables including:  Electrical load lists, Single-line diagrams, Cable sizing and schedules, Material Take-Offs (MTOs), Bills of Materials (BOMs), Technical Requisitions (TRs)
  • Design grounding/earthing systems and lighting layouts.
  • Perform ETAP studies, including arc flash analysis and power system evaluations.
  • Prepare technical data sheets and RFQs for electrical equipment.
  • Review vendor quotations and provide technical recommendations to procurement.
  • Support manufacturing teams during module fabrication and assembly.
  • Provide engineering support during construction, installation, and commissioning, including responding to RFIs and troubleshooting field issues.
  • Participate in design reviews, customer meetings, and project coordination sessions.
  • Analyze electrical systems to optimize power distribution, load balancing, and overall system reliability.
  • Recommend innovative engineering solutions that improve quality, reduce cost, and enhance project schedules.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices for data center infrastructure.

 

Skills Required

  • 2-10 years of electrical engineering or electrical design experience.
  • Experience with EPC engineering projects.
  • Experience designing electrical power distribution systems.
  • Strong understanding of low-voltage electrical systems.
  • Experience preparing: Load lists, Data sheets, RFQs, Technical documentation
  • Hands-on experience with ETAP, including Arc Flash Analysis.
  • Experience supporting modular engineering design projects.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with hyperscale or high-density data center infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with: UPS systems, Diesel generators, Medium- and low-voltage switchgear, Power Distribution Units (PDUs), Automatic and static transfer switches, Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs), Electrical control systems
  • Knowledge of electrical power system sizing and design.
  • Experience with permitting and regulatory agencies.

 

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.

 

Additional requirements

  • Professional Engineer (PE) license is preferred but not required.

 

Pay rate

  • $100,000 - $150,000 per year (Compensation is offered based on experience, skills, and market factors)
  • 10% - 20% performance bonus based on experience
