Electrical Engineer

NextStep Recruiting has partnered with a rapidly growing industrial solutions organization to identify an Electrical Engineer – Industrial Controls & Automation in Grapevine, TX. This role is 100% onsite and will support the design and development of electrical systems, control panels, and automation solutions for industrial equipment.

This position is ideal for an electrical engineer who enjoys hands-on design work and wants significant exposure to projects from initial concept through fabrication and implementation. The right candidate is strong in AutoCAD, understands electrical controls and switchgear, and can confidently interpret and develop electrical drawings and schematics.

Required:

• Strong AutoCAD experience within electrical engineering or industrial controls
• Hands-on experience designing electrical control panels, switchgear, or related electrical systems
• Ability to read and interpret electrical circuit diagrams, wiring diagrams, and electrical schematics
• Electrical engineering background with a strong understanding of industrial electrical and control systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work closely with engineering, fabrication, and project teams

Preferred:

• Experience with PLC programming, HMI development, or industrial automation systems
• Knowledge of low- or medium-voltage electrical systems and applicable electrical codes and standards
• Experience developing electrical drawings, panel layouts, BOMs, and engineering documentation
• Exposure to industrial equipment, data center infrastructure, packaged systems, or similar environments
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; Professional Engineer (P.E.) license is a plus
