Description

Electrical Designer / Electrical Engineer

Overview

Design and engineer electrical control panels and systems for pump stations and water treatment solutions used in industrial applications. Work with a collaborative engineering team to develop automated systems that meet customer requirements, industry standards, and regulatory codes while supporting clean water and irrigation projects worldwide.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design industrial control panels and electrical systems for pump stations, water treatment equipment, and automated products.
  • Create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and drawings using AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar CAD software.
  • Develop and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Perform load analysis, voltage drop, and short-circuit calculations to ensure safe, reliable designs.
  • Collaborate with engineering, project management, manufacturing, and clients to gather requirements and resolve design issues.
  • Participate in design reviews and optimize designs for cost, reliability, manufacturability, and compliance.
  • Support procurement with component selection and vendor evaluations.
  • Provide technical support during manufacturing and assembly.
  • Ensure compliance with UL508A, UL67, UL891, NEC, IEC, and other applicable standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor"s degree in Electrical Engineering (or related field), or Associate"s degree with 2+ years of electrical design experience.
  • Proven experience of industrial control panel design experience.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, or similar electrical CAD software.
  • Experience creating electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
  • Strong knowledge of power distribution, control systems, electrical calculations, and applicable codes (NEC, IEC, UL, UL508A).
  • Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, and SCADA systems.
  • Experience with pump stations, water treatment systems, and irrigation-related applications.
  • Familiarity with UL compliance and industrial wiring design best practices.

Work Environment & Benefits

  • Office-based role with occasional collaboration on the manufacturing floor.
  • Monday-Friday schedule with flexible start times (6:00 AM-9:00 AM).
  • No travel required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $135000.00/yr.
