We have an immediate need for an Electrical Engineer in the West Atlanta, GA metro area OR REMOTE.
The Electrical Engineer for the EPC Division is responsible for supporting both front end sales efforts and back-end project management support for high voltage EPC substations.
The Electrical Engineer will have an active role in developing substation electrical design, protection and controls design, and providing testing support throughout project duration. This position will also include electrical engineering service support in the role of consultation and design for various customer bases.
Requirements:- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical)
- Professional Engineering License (preferred)
- Autocad Electrical is highly preferred

Job Details:
· Write and Review equipment specification/data sheets for proposal and project support
· Write technical relay, protection and communication scopes of work for proposals
· Support Pre-bid meetings and customer meetings
· Provide engineering expertise to either design or oversee subcontractors electrical design efforts
· Maintain a system for evaluating design quality control and metrics for long term management of design group (internal or external)
· Design substation and various grounding systems
· Design protection and control schemes based off customer and system needs
· Design low voltage AC and DC Systems used for control buildings and substation equipment
· Develop and understand relay settings of various relays and communication equipment most used in substations
· Provide short circuit studies, relay coordination studies with proper technical documentation
· Provide technical documentation and calculations for various studies and reports during a project
· Provide working knowledge of SKM Power Tools and/or ETAP and provide long-term guidance on Electrical Engineering Software Packages
· Use software to evaluate and determine design criteria for all EPC and Engineering Service work.
· Provide electrical support for project management team
· Work in the field to provide technical support, EPC oversight, and consultation to Testing Contractors
· Review, sign, and stamp electrical design prints and provide oversight for correction and quality control
· Perform peer reviews of design documents developed by other engineers
· Maintain working knowledge of codes and standards such as NERC, NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, and other standards as needed to meet design requirements
· Request training as needed to maintain knowledge of standards and software
· Obtain professional engineering registration in additional states as needed to support project work
