Description
Electrical Engineer
3-year contract
Pay Range: $65-$90/hr.
100% on-site with occasional flex
The Rapid Prototyping Group focuses on delivering new advanced technology capabilities in timelines typically under a year. Projects are conducted in a team environment consisting of various subject matter experts, and leverages resources from multiple groups to successfully execute fast-paced demonstration efforts.
Designs, develops, and tests electrical devices and equipment, including communications systems, processing systems, navigation systems, sensors, power generation and battery systems. These electrical systems may be used in land, air, marine, or space environments for defense, research, or scientific applications. Analyzes project needs and determines electrical system requirements, capacity, time and cost to develop a system. Performs required calculations and/or simulations during development to ensure that components and systems perform to required specifications. Oversees the manufacturing of prototypes of these devices, systems, and equipment. Directs installation and testing of electronics to ensure that products interface correctly with overall system. Investigates feedback from customers or end users, evaluates problems, and recommends solutions. Documents design and communicates regularly with program management.

-Interim clearance is sufficient
-Interview process will likely be an initial phone screen, followed by a wider audience technical interview. The second round interview will be in person for local candidates. The group will entertain Zoom interviews for relocation candidates.
