Description

Electrical Engineer III

Pay Rate: $83.20 per hour, W2
Duration: 12+ Month Contract
Work Mode: Remote

Responsibilities:

  • Produce power single line drawings, substation plan, and elevation drawings.
  • Develop general substation arrangement and layout, equipment erection drawings, and construction details.
  • Create layouts for high voltage bus, cable, high voltage equipment, conduit, cable, and wiring.
  • Design auxiliary power, grounding, and control building layouts.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in Transmission & Distribution substation engineering for electric utilities and renewable energy power plants.
  • Experience as an Electrical Project Engineer in substation type applications, including primary (outdoor) physical substation design and required studies.
  • In-depth experience applying High Voltage substation North American standards & guidelines (IEEE & ANSI standards and codes such as the NEC and the NESC), local Grid Codes, and related equipment (safety, application, sizing, and integration).
  • Experience with both AIS/GIS.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college (BSEE preferred).
  • Professional Engineering license in the Company States or a plan to obtain PE license within a certain period, with willingness to review and seal your work and the work of others under your supervision.
