Job Summary:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for producing highly detailed construction drawings and specifications, performing complex electrical engineering calculations, & coordinating with internal & external project team members to ensure successful project delivery. This role will be integrated into a highly technical team, demonstrate strong analytical capability, & consistently deliver high quality engineering solutions.
Duties/Responsibilities:

Power distribution design including medium & low voltage systems
Lighting system design including photometric analysis & fixture selection
Emergency/standby power system design including generators, UPS systems, & automatic transfer schemes
Code analysis including NEC, NFPA, IBC, & local amendments
Engineering studies including but not limited to fault current analysis, selective coordination, arch flash, voltage drop calculations, and Neher-McGrath calculations.
Coordination with mechanical, structural, architectural, & low voltage disciplines
Review of submittals, RFIs, & construction phase documentation
Participation in internal QA/QC processes to ensure accuracy & completeness of deliverables
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for electrical modeling and design
Strong Client Office skillset (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Exceptional attention to detail & accuracy
Ability to prioritize tasks & manage multiple deadlines
Strong organizational skills with consistent on time project delivery
Proven success working with all levels of management & cross disciplinary teams
Strong written & verbal communication skills
Ability to function effectively in a fast paced & occasionally high pressure environment
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a closely related engineering field is required
3–7 years of electrical engineering design experience
E.I.T. certification preferred but not required
PE certification or active pursuit of licensure is a plus
Experience in mission critical, industrial, commercial, or similar environments preferred
Physical Requirements:
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk & working on a computer
