Job Summary
Responsible for the electrical design of customized AC/DC Power Modules, IT Modules, and Data Centers.
Support customer requirements and business development activities.
Develop electrical designs for Data Centers, Telecom Central Offices, Switching Centers, and Video Hub Offices.
Coordinate designs with structural, mechanical, thermal, controls, and other engineering teams.
Support detailed workshop drawing packages and participate in Factory and Site Acceptance Testing (FAT/SAT).
Essential Job Functions
Provide conceptual and detailed electrical design during the post-sales stage.
Ensure designs comply with federal, state, municipal, and electrical codes.
Design and review electrical systems for power modules and data center applications.
Create and review detailed electrical design and construction drawing packages.
Review and approve electrical product submittals.
Coordinate electrical requirements with mechanical, structural, civil, thermal, and controls engineers.
Define project scope and provide technical support during construction.
Coordinate technical requirements with customers, suppliers, vendors, and business partners.
Perform quality control during project execution.
Support onsite module repairs and engineering evaluations.
Visit fabrication facilities for design validation, workmanship reviews, and engineering audits.
Interpret customer specifications and develop appropriate technical solutions.
Provide creative and cost-effective engineering solutions without compromising quality or reliability.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
4+ years of Electrical Engineering experience.
Knowledge of low-voltage switchboards/switchgear design, installation, and application.
Knowledge of local, state, and federal electrical codes.
Strong knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
Experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
Strong Microsoft Office skills.
Ability to read and interpret electrical construction drawings and equipment specifications.
Ability to interpret customer technical specifications.
Knowledge of data center equipment, facilities, technologies, and construction methods.
Strong problem-solving and leadership skills.
Proven project management skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication.
Strong attention to detail and ability to develop innovative solutions.
