Overview:
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for leading the design, development, testing, and implementation of electrical systems and equipment. This role plays a critical part in ensuring products and systems meet performance, safety, quality, and cost objectives while supporting engineering excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with a strong background in electrical system design, testing, and project execution. Responsibilities:
Lead the design, development, and testing of electrical equipment, systems, controls, wiring, and lighting solutions.
Review and approve engineering designs to ensure reliability, safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
Develop project schedules, cost estimates, and technical plans while communicating requirements and expectations with stakeholders.
Supervise simulation, validation, and testing activities to verify system functionality and performance.
Coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, and support activities to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Monitor product quality and recommend design improvements to enhance performance and reliability.
Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and technical documentation.
Conduct inspections of completed installations to ensure compliance with engineering standards, customer requirements, and safety regulations.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and drive project success.
Prepare engineering drawings, calculations, reports, and technical documentation to support project execution.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to engineering processes, product performance, and operational efficiency.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and project team members.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline required.
8-10 years of electrical engineering experience in commercial, industrial, manufacturing, scientific, military, or related environments.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles, theories, and design methodologies.
Experience designing, developing, testing, and implementing electrical systems and equipment.
Proficiency creating and interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Experience utilizing engineering design and analysis software.
Advanced knowledge of electrical calculations, design standards, and installation requirements.
Ability to conduct simulations, testing, validation, and root cause analysis activities.
Strong project management skills, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource coordination.
Knowledge of applicable electrical codes, compliance requirements, and safety standards.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to effectively engage clients, stakeholders, and engineering teams.
Demonstrated leadership experience, including mentoring and supporting technical team members.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Professional Engineer (PE) certification is a plus.
Limited travel may be required based on project needs.
