Title: Electrical Engineer 4 
Location: Onsite 5 days/week in Overland Park, KS; Ann Arbor, MI; Bloomington, MN; Canonsburg, PA; Cary, NC; Dallas, TX; Darrien, IL; Denver, CO; Houston, TX; Orlando, FL; Phoenix, AZ; or Tualatin, OR 
Hire Type: Contract to Hire
Shift : Onsite, 5 days/week 
Compensation: $65 - $73/hour

Overview: An organization is seeking an Electrical Engineer 4 to lead efforts in delivering detailed designs for large-scale data center environments—including hyper-scale, edge, and colocation facilities. This role focuses on incorporating schedules, budgets, and project criteria into physical designs and layouts, conducting field surveys, preparing engineering studies, and providing guidance on design risk factors for redundancy and resiliency using advanced Autodesk tools while collaborating directly with top-tier clients.

Job Duties:
  • Lead efforts to deliver detailed designs of large-scale data center environments, potentially directing dedicated design teams while incorporating schedules, budgets, and project criteria into physical layouts.
  • Conduct field surveys, reviews of existing facilities, and technical drawing assessments to ensure installations and designs conform to standards, codes, and customer requirements.
  • Perform detailed engineering calculations, compile data, and create comprehensive engineering studies, summary reports, and technical documentation.
  • Mentor, supervise, and provide guidance to junior-level engineers, designers, and technical personnel while coordinating with internal and external clients to align on project requirements.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience, with previous experience within the data center industry preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering from a recognized accredited program.
  • Professional registration or licensure (PE License preferred) or active pursuit.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, BIM, and 3D modeling (including Autodesk Revit, BIM 360, Navisworks, Revit work sets, view templates, and project phasing).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and professional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
