Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for an Electrical Engineer 3. The work will be done onsite in Mossville, IL. This is a long-term 12-month position that can lead to permanent employment with our client. Compensation is up to $51/hr + full benefits (vision, dental, health insurance, 401k, and holiday pay).
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support the development, testing, and validation of advanced camera and sensor technologies used in industrial equipment systems. This role will focus on hands-on engineering activities including performance testing, environmental validation, troubleshooting, and technical collaboration with internal engineering teams and third-party suppliers. The engineer will support multiple product development initiatives involving camera platforms, ADAS-related technologies, and machine safety systems while helping align products with broader system requirements and operational goals. This position offers strong exposure to advanced product development, field testing, and cross-functional engineering collaboration within a fast-paced technical environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, test, and validate electrical and electronic systems including camera and sensor technologies
• Create and execute performance and environmental test plans and document technical test results
• Troubleshoot electrical and electronic components using oscilloscopes, multimeters, and diagnostic tools
• Support requirements development activities by collaborating with engineering teams and process partners
• Investigate technical issues, analyze product performance, and recommend corrective actions or improvements
• Collaborate with suppliers and third-party partners on product development, testing, and qualification activities
• Prepare engineering reports, technical documentation, and product validation summaries
• Support field and laboratory testing activities involving industrial equipment and machine systems
• Evaluate reliability, safety, and performance of design concepts and product configurations
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
• 5–7 years of electrical engineering or electronics product development experience
• Experience working with electronic products, cameras, sensors, ADAS technologies, or related systems
• Strong troubleshooting and hands-on testing experience with electrical/electronic components
• Ability to create test plans, conduct environmental and performance testing, and prepare test reports
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability and willingness to work hands-on in laboratory and field environments
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with camera systems, embedded electronics, or autonomous technology platforms
• Familiarity with PCBA-level troubleshooting and validation activities
• Experience working with suppliers or third-party engineering organizations
• Exposure to industrial equipment, heavy machinery, or vehicle systems
• Experience with environmental and reliability testing processes
• Knowledge of ADAS sensor technologies and machine safety systems
