    The Position

    The Electrical Engineer II position is a member of the Engineering Department and reports to the Senior Electrical Engineering Manager. This position requires experience in Electrical CAD programs as well as experience in designing electrical machine control systems, electrical panel layouts and control schematics.

    Job Description

    Primary Responsibilities
    • Advanced designs of new products or re-design existing products without supervision for schematics, control cabinets, layouts, ect. Hardware design of machine control systems, to include Allen Bradley and Siemens hardware platforms.
      • Ability to design, select, and implement electrical hardware components for manufacturing machinery production lines.
      • Provide accurate designs and bill of materials.
      • Adhere to project schedules.
      • Designs must follow specified safety standards.
      • Design within the specifications for the product being mindful of cost, manufacturability, reliability and service requirements.
    • Perform commissioning and debug of products.
      • Ability to energize machines safely and competently, ready for FAT.
      • Assure product build is "as designed".
      • Review/approve all applicable requests for change.
      • Assure proper documentation has been recorded.
      • Assure product meets specifications.
      • Maintain a working knowledge of machine process and operation.
    • Work in a team environment.
      • Mentor junior engineers.
      • Lead team meetings, design reviews, machine reviews, kick-off meetings.
      • Interact with other departments, including Manufacturing, Software Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Field Service, Sales, and Purchasing.
    Job Requirements

    Education
    • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 4 years related engineering experience or 10 years as designer / technician.
    Skills & Relevant Work Experience
    • Knowledgeable in PLC's, HMI's, VFD & Servo drives, motion controls, panel design.
    • Must be able to create all drawings and documentation required for assembly.
    • Computer skills must be excellent.
    • AutoCAD or Electrical CAD design software for panel layout and schematics
    • Creating complete manufacturing drawings and assembly documentation
    • Machine control systems and industrial automation
    Travel Requirements: Up to 10%
