Electrical Engineer 1

Candidate will perform the following: Research, development, and design of electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks in accordance with all contractual requirements, military and commercial specifications; initiate procurement specifications; review and approve vendor proposals; review, comment on, adjudicate and approve vendor furnished information for translation into construction products; interface with vendors and Navy technical representatives; support vendor design reviews and testing; develop drawings and other documents IAW Mil-Specs and contract drawings; interface with other disciplines and departments to ensure a seamless integration of assigned systems into the shipboard environment; address and resolve technical issues, and make decisions on problems in his/her area of responsibility; support shipbuilding production department as required. ATSS has a client in Avondale, LA looking for Electrical Engineer 1.


The Role:


Candidate will be responsible for establishing, overseeing, and managing all activities related to Combat Electrical shipboard systems. Candidate will perform the following: Research, development, and design of electrical components, equipment, systems, and networks in accordance with all contractual requirements, military and commercial specifications; initiate procurement specifications; review and approve vendor proposals; review, comment on, adjudicate and approve vendor furnished information for translation into construction products; interface with vendors and Navy technical representatives; support vendor design reviews and testing; develop drawings and other documents IAW Mil-Specs and contract drawings; interface with other disciplines and departments to ensure a seamless integration of assigned systems into the shipboard environment; address and resolve technical issues, and make decisions on problems in his/her area of responsibility; support shipbuilding production department as required.



Must Have:



Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from an ABET school with 0-2 years of engineering experience. A qualified candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and AutoCAD.



Nice to Have:



Previous shipbuilding experience is highly desired.

  • Base Pay Range: $33.00 to $37.00 per hour, depending on level of experience
