POSITION SUMMARY Entech Engineering, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer / Electrical Engineer with approximately 210 years of experience to support architectural engineering, facilities, utilities, and infrastructure-related projects. This position will support the planning, design, documentation, and construction-phase services for electrical systems serving institutional, commercial, industrial, municipal, higher education, healthcare, and government clients. The successful candidate will work as part of a multidisciplinary team of engineers, designers, architects, planners, and project managers to develop practical, reliable, and constructible electrical design solutions. Primary project work will include MEP design for buildings and facilities, with additional emphasis on utility infrastructure, campus systems, electrical distribution, lighting, power, controls coordination, and construction support. Role and Responsibilities Assist with the design and documentation of electrical systems for building, facility, utility, and infrastructure projects.Prepare electrical drawings, details, schedules, and specifications under the direction of senior engineering staff.Support design of normal power, emergency power, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, communications, security, and related low-voltage systems.Assist with electrical service assessments, field investigations, existing condition documentation, and utility coordination.Perform basic electrical calculations, including load calculations, voltage drop, lighting calculations, short-circuit coordination support, and equipment sizing.Coordinate electrical design work with mechanical, plumbing, architectural, civil, structural, and owner requirements.Participate in site visits, field surveys, construction meetings, and punch list reviews.Review submittals, RFIs, and contractor questions during construction administration.Assist with preparation of technical reports, feasibility studies, opinions of probable construction cost, and project documentation.Support project teams in delivering practical design solutions that meet applicable codes, client needs, schedules, and budgets. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Demonstrated competency in electrical design, drafting, electrical construction, systems integration, or a related technical field. Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code and general building electrical-systemdesign practices. Familiarity with electrical design for power distribution, lighting, lighting controls, fire alarm, communications, emergency power, and related building systems. Proficiencyor working capability in AutoCAD; Revit experience or willingness to learn Revit is expected.Proficiencywith Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, one-line diagrams, equipment schedules, specifications, and construction documents.Ability to perform field investigations and accurately document existing electrical systems and conditions.Ability to work under the responsible charge and technical direction of licensed professional engineers.Ability to balance technical quality, constructability, schedule, and budget.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to support multiple concurrent projects.Commitment to continued technical development and progressively increased design responsibility. Education and Qualifications Collegedegree is notrequired.High school diploma or equivalent.Approximately 3-10 years of directly relevant electrical design, drafting, construction, controls, or related technical experience is preferred; equivalent combinations of training and experience will be considered.Strong professional references or recommendations that substantiate technical competency, reliability, and relevant experience.Valid driver's license. Preferred skills and qualifications Associate degree, technical-school education, certificate, apprenticeship, military technical training, or other relevant specialized training.Experience with architectural engineering, MEP consulting, institutional facilities, campus environments, utilities, or infrastructure projects.Experience with medium-voltage power distribution systems.Experience with high-voltage power distribution systems.Experience with controlsintegration.Experience with Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.Experience with power system studies.Experience with arc flash studies.Experience with electrical calculation software, lighting design software, or power system analysis tools.Experience with industrial electrical systems, motor control centers, PLC-based controls, or related process-control applications.
