Job Title: Electrical Construction Coordinator / Electrical Designer (Industrial Projects)Job Description

This role supports electrical installation and demolition projects within a large industrial manufacturing facility, with a strong focus on field work. The position is ideal for an experienced electrical professional with hands-on industrial installation experience who understands how electrical systems are physically built, modified, and removed. You will collaborate closely with engineering and construction teams to evaluate existing electrical infrastructure, develop installation plans, and create accurate construction documentation that contractors can execute safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed field walkdowns within an operating industrial facility to assess existing conditions.
• Evaluate existing electrical equipment, panels, conduit, cable tray, and wiring systems for suitability, capacity, and condition.
• Identify demolition requirements and assess the impacts of new installations on existing systems and operations.
• Develop comprehensive construction work packages and drawing markups that clearly guide field execution.
• Create sketches, redlines, and design revisions to accurately communicate field conditions and required changes.
• Assist with AutoCAD updates and documentation, incorporating field markups and design changes when applicable.
• Generate accurate Bills of Material (BOMs) to support procurement and construction planning.
• Coordinate closely with engineering and construction personnel to plan installation sequencing and work methods.
• Help determine practical methods for completing electrical work while minimizing operational downtime in the facility.
• Verify that electrical installations comply with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.
• Interpret electrical drawings and correlate them with actual field conditions to ensure constructability.
• Support demolition and replacement of electrical equipment, ensuring safe procedures and clear documentation.
• Provide construction support throughout the project, answering field questions and resolving issues as they arise.

Essential Skills

• Proven experience performing electrical installations in industrial facilities.
• Strong knowledge of conduit systems, including routing and installation in active plant environments.
• Strong knowledge of cable tray systems and cable routing in industrial settings.
• Experience with control wiring, including terminations, troubleshooting, and modifications.
• Understanding of electrical panels, their configuration, and integration within industrial electrical systems.
• Experience with equipment demolition and replacement, including safe removal and installation practices.
• Ability to interpret electrical drawings and align them with actual field conditions.
• Strong understanding of how electrical work is physically executed in the field within operating facilities.
• Ability to communicate field conditions clearly through sketches, redlines, markups, or CAD revisions.
• Ability to work onsite daily within an operating industrial facility.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman Electrician license.
• Master Electrician license.
• AutoCAD experience and proficiency in updating drawings and documentation.
• Electrical design experience, particularly for industrial projects.
• Industrial construction or plant expansion experience.
• Experience generating Bills of Material (BOMs) for electrical projects.
• Construction support experience on industrial manufacturing or plant projects.
• Exposure to industrial manufacturing or plant environments.

Work Environment

This position is based within a large, operating industrial manufacturing facility and involves a blend of field and office responsibilities. You will spend significant time in active plant areas performing walkdowns, evaluating equipment, and supporting demolition and installation activities, as well as time in an office setting developing work packages, drawings, and documentation. The work environment is hands-on and fast-paced, with close collaboration between engineering, construction, and field personnel. You will use tools such as AutoCAD and other documentation systems, and you will routinely interact with industrial electrical equipment, conduit and cable tray systems, and control wiring. The role offers highly visible project work, opportunities to influence real-world installations, and the chance to solve complex problems in a challenging industrial setting. Work is performed onsite within the operating facility, and you should be prepared for typical industrial plant conditions.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Louisville, CO.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
