Title: Electrical Designer-Substation Design
Employment Type: 6 months Contract-to-Perm

Our Client is seeking an experienced Staff Electrical Engineering Technician – Substation Design to join its Distributed Infrastructure Market Sector and support critical Substation (Grid) projects.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE) in the substation industry. Experience with Substation Design Suite (SDS) is highly preferred.

Job Responsibilities

Develop, modify, and maintain electrical engineering drawings and technical deliverables for substation projects.
Support the preparation of substation design drawings, including general arrangements, elevations, conduit and grounding plans, one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and front panel layouts.
Utilize CAD tools to develop high-quality 2D and 3D engineering designs.
Review design inputs, technical requirements, and project specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering and design teams to support project execution.
Perform design calculations, material quantity estimates, and technical documentation.
Ensure deliverables meet quality standards and project requirements.

Qualifications

1. Autodesk Inventor – Substation Design

Hands-on experience with Autodesk Inventor in the substation industry.
Experience with Substation Design Suite (SDS) is highly preferred.
Ability to independently support drafting, modeling, and design activities.
Experience developing 2D/3D substation design deliverables.

2. AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE) – Substation Design

Hands-on experience with AutoCAD Electrical (ACADE) in the substation industry.
Experience with Substation Design Suite (SDS) is highly preferred.
Ability to independently support electrical drafting and design activities.
Experience developing one-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, wiring diagrams, and related substation drawings.
