- We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to take on leadership opportunities and work on diverse, cutting-edge projects. Join a respected engineering firm with multiple locations across the Northeast and Mid-Atlantic as a Senior Electrical Design Engineer. - As a Senior Electrical Design Engineer, you'll lead the design of lighting and power systems for diverse building projects while mentoring junior team members. This position offers significant autonomy and growth potential, with the opportunity to shape our electrical engineering practice.
- Our Ideal Candidate: They are open to location. This person can be located around Point Pleasant, NJ or in DC Metro/Maryland. They have offices in both and have projects between the two locations so would be open to candidates from either location within driving distance of offices. Client do not want people to far out of those locations.
Core Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical system design for various building types.
- Design innovative lighting and power distribution systems.
- Collaborate with mechanical teams on integrated building solutions
- Drive sustainable design initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team development.
- Interface with clients and project stakeholders.
What We're Looking For:
- 6-10 years of electrical building design experience.
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering.
- PE License or commitment to obtaining one.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit experience is a plus).
- Experience with diverse project types including:
- Educational facilities.
- Government buildings.
- Financial institutions.
- Data centers.
- Healthcare facilities.
- Commercial offices.
- High-tech/R&D facilities.
Additional Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of mechanical system basics.
- Knowledge of LEED certification processes.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Passion for sustainability and innovative design.
- Problem-solving mindset.
- Physical ability to access various project sites.
