Job Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with expertise in aircraft electrical systems, electrical design, substantiation, aircraft certification, testing, and regulatory requirements. The role will support aircraft cabin safety, electrical design changes, certification activities, and small STC/PMA projects, while working closely with suppliers, airline customers, engineering teams, and certification authorities.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop electrical test plans, checklists, inspection plans, and test reports

Develop substantiation reports and certification documentation for aircraft cabin safety

Support STC/PMA projects involving electrical requirements and technical data deliverables

Coordinate supplier responses, technical inquiries, significant issues, and airworthiness concerns

Support coordination with DERs on electrical certification and airworthiness matters

Identify applicable major design changes impacting aircraft electrical systems

Support relationships and technical communication with certification and regulatory agencies

Interface with airline customers during troubleshooting activities, flight testing, laboratory testing, and jig testing

Prepare technical presentations and documentation for engineering and project meetings

Support aircraft electrical design, testing, certification, and substantiation activities

Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, supplier, customer, and certification teams

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related scientific/engineering field

4 7 years of engineering experience; relevant internships and co-op experience may be considered

Knowledge of aircraft processes and substantiation techniques for Airbus and Boeing aircraft

Hands-on experience with AutoCAD or DraftSight

Strong knowledge of aircraft mechanical/structural design processes, materials, fabrication methods, and aerospace hardware

Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

Knowledge of aircraft electrical design and testing processes

Strong organizational, communication, and technical documentation skills

Ability to work independently and effectively as part of a cross-functional engineering team
