Electrical Coordinator

Job Title: Electrical Coordinator
Location: Baytown, Texas

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the installation of all plant electrical systems, balance-of-plant (BOP) above-ground electrical contracts, and high-voltage switchyard designs (such as 500kV switchyards).
• Assist general contractors and project managers in developing construction schedules, work sequencing, and milestone tracking.
• Help develop cost-saving measures during construction and manage cost controls for extra work orders (EWOs) and change orders tied to the electrical scope.
• Ensure all site-specific safety regulations, national electrical codes, and environmental standards are strictly met.
• Oversee maintenance, monitoring, and installation for gas and steam turbine control systems, generators, transformers, switchgear, and Distributed Control Systems (DCS).

Requirements

• Extensive background in electrical construction, heavy industrial manufacturing, or power generation facilities (often 10+ years of direct electrical and supervisory experience).
• Deep familiarity with power distribution, motor controls, medium- and low-voltage systems, automation, and instrumentation.
• Strong working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC), OSHA guidelines, and industry electrical standards.
• Proven ability to coordinate multi-trade crews, supervise subcontractors, and communicate across plant and corporate operational structures.
