    Description

    We are seeking an experienced Electrical Construction Project Manager to lead industrial and commercial electrical construction projects throughout the Louisville area. This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through commissioning and closeout while ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.

This position offers the opportunity to oversee a diverse portfolio of industrial, manufacturing, commercial, and institutional projects while working closely with field leadership and executive management.

    Responsibilities

    • Manage industrial and commercial electrical construction projects from preconstruction through final completion and closeout.
    • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, procurement plans, manpower forecasts, and cost projections.
    • Monitor project financial performance, including labor productivity, forecasting, billing, change orders, and overall profitability.
    • Coordinate Superintendents, Foremen, electricians, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
    • Review electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and project documentation to ensure successful execution.
    • Manage RFIs, submittals, purchase orders, procurement activities, and project documentation.
    • Coordinate the procurement of materials, equipment, and long-lead items to maintain project schedules.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, engineers, architects, inspectors, and internal leadership.
    • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on project schedules, budgets, milestones, and overall progress.
    • Conduct regular jobsite visits to monitor quality, safety, schedule adherence, and field productivity.
    • Support field operations by ensuring crews have the materials, equipment, information, and resources necessary for successful execution.
    • Negotiate and manage change orders, contract modifications, and project cost impacts.
    • Oversee commissioning, inspections, punch-list completion, project turnover, and final closeout activities.

    Requirements

    • 3+ years of project management experience in commercial or industrial electrical construction.
    • Experience working for an electrical contractor or specialty electrical subcontractor is required.
    • Proven experience managing industrial and commercial electrical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
    • Strong understanding of electrical construction methods, scheduling, labor planning, procurement, and field operations.
    • Experience managing project budgets, forecasting, labor productivity, subcontractors, and overall project financial performance.
    • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and construction documents.
    • Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, billing, and project documentation.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and construction management software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Viewpoint, or similar platforms.
    • Strong leadership, communication, organizational, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
    • Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites throughout the Louisville area.
