Contract-to-Hire Opportunity
Location: Fort Worth, TX
We are seeking an Electrical CAD Technician to support engineering and design teams on a variety of industrial projects. This position will work closely with detailers, designers, and engineers to prepare and revise technical drawings using AutoCAD.
Candidates must have at least 2 years of drafting experience and previous pipeline or piping-related AutoCAD experience.
Prepare and revise engineering drawings based on sketches, layouts, redlines, and project requirements.
Develop and update plot drawings and other project documentation.
Support drafting and design activities for a variety of engineering projects.
Utilize AutoCAD and standard drafting/detail programs to produce accurate drawings.
Follow established company, client, and discipline-specific drafting standards and procedures.
Coordinate with designers and engineers to incorporate drawing revisions and design changes.
Research project concerns and assist in identifying practical solutions to design and drafting issues.
Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to drafting quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
Assist with special projects and other drafting assignments as needed.
Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD), Drafting Technology, or a related technical field.
Minimum 2 years of related drafting experience.
Pipeline or piping-related drafting experience using AutoCAD is required.
Working knowledge of engineering drawings, drafting standards, and technical documentation.
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Self-motivated with a willingness to learn and develop within the drafting/design field.
Ability to work effectively with engineers, designers, and other technical team members.
Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without current or future sponsorship.
