Schedule: Monday-Friday | Day Shift 8am-4:30pm with 2 breaks and 30 minute lunch

Electrical Assembly Technician – Must-Have Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years of electrical assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience reading electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings
  • Control panel wiring and electrical enclosure assembly experience preferred
  • Experience with point-to-point wiring and electrical troubleshooting
  • Familiarity with sensors, relays, actuators, PLC components, and control devices
  • Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment, including multimeters
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety

Electrical Assembly Technician – Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Assembler to join a growing manufacturing team. This direct hire position is responsible for assembling, wiring, troubleshooting, and testing industrial machinery, electrical control panels, and machine assemblies. The ideal candidate has experience interpreting electrical schematics, building control panels, and ensuring equipment is assembled to engineering specifications while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Electrical Assembly Technician – Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Electrical Assembly

  • Assemble electrical control panels, machine assemblies, and electrical subassemblies
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, work instructions, and engineering drawings
  • Perform point-to-point wiring of industrial equipment and control systems
  • Install electrical components including sensors, switches, relays, actuators, terminal blocks, and control devices
  • Perform fiber optic terminations as required

Troubleshooting & Testing

  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical assembly issues
  • Test completed assemblies using multimeters and other electrical testing equipment
  • Verify wiring accuracy and document completed inspections
  • Assist with prototype builds and engineering changes when required

Manufacturing Support

  • Collaborate with engineering, production, and manufacturing teams to improve assembly processes
  • Provide feedback on assembly methods and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Train and mentor other assemblers as needed
  • Maintain accurate production records and required documentation
  • Properly maintain tools, equipment, and work areas

Electrical Assembly Technician – Additional Qualifications

  • Control panel building experience preferred
  • Experience with industrial automation equipment is highly desirable
  • Knowledge of electrical enclosure layout, DIN rail installation, wire routing, grounding, and cable management
  • Familiarity with proximity sensors, photo eyes, PNP/NPN sensors, and other industrial controls
  • Experience working in a manufacturing or machine-building environment
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently while meeting production schedules
  • High school diploma or GED preferred
  • Technical training in electrical technology, industrial maintenance, mechatronics, or a related field is a plus
