Overview:
As an Electrical Assembly Technician, you will play a crucial role in the manufacturing process by assembling electrical components and ensuring that they meet our quality standards. This position requires expertise in hand soldering and working with printed circuit boards (PCBs).
Job Description:
- Perform electrical assembly tasks according to engineering drawings, diagrams, and work instructions.
- Hand-solder electronic components onto PCBs with precision and accuracy.
- Inspect assembled PCBs to identify and rectify any defects or discrepancies.
- Utilize various tools and equipment such as soldering irons, tweezers, microscopes, and magnifying glasses to complete assembly tasks.
- Perform intermediate machining tasks using a lathe, end mill, drill press, and other basic machining tools
- Collaborate with engineering and quality assurance teams to resolve assembly-related issues and improve processes.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure safety and efficiency.
- Adhere to established quality standards and procedures to ensure the reliability andfunctionality of finished products.
- Keep detailed records of assembly activities, including materials used and production metrics.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent experience; additional technical education or certification is a plus.
- Strong math skills with the ability to work with both imperial and metric measurements
- Proven experience in electrical assembly, preferably in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Proficiency in hand soldering techniques and familiarity with soldering equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions.
- Knowledge of electronic components and their functions.
- Attention to detail and manual dexterity for working with small components.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot assembly issues.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
