Duration: 2 Months (possible temp to perm)
Shift Timings: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM Monday-Friday
Description:
- Under direct supervision, the Fabricator lays out wireway, din rail and components on enclosure back plates by interpreting schematics/blueprints.
- The Fabricator operates all kinds of mechanical tools under the guidance of a supervisor.
- The Fabricator fits,and assembles parts to populate back panels and enclosures.
Job Responsibilities
- Lays out, positions, aligns, and secures parts and assemblies before wiring assembly, using straightedges, combination squares, calipers, and rulers.
- Examines workpieces for defects and measures workpieces with straightedges or templates to ensure conformance with specifications.
- Verifies conformance of workpieces to specifications.
- Sets up and operates fabricating machines, such as brakes, shears, grinders, and drill presses, to cut, form, punch, drill, or otherwise form and assemble components.
- Operates safety equipment and uses safe work habits.
- Keeps work area clean.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Studies engineering drawings and blueprints to determine materials requirements and task sequences.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
Skills:
- Read and understand work orders.
- Knowledge of mathematics and its application.
- Can read measuring tools and straightedges in both standard and metric units of measurement.
- Some experience with drills, taps, punches, basic hand tools, etc., preferred.
Physical Demands:
- Requires manual dexterity, arm-hand steadiness, and multi-limb coordination.
- Ability to handle material up to 100 pounds.
