Job Overview:
The Electric Operations Resource Coordinator III is responsible for scheduling, dispatching, tracking, and reporting maintenance and construction work for in-house and contractor crews to ensure optimal resource utilization. This role involves preparing permit applications, assembling work packets, and managing prerequisites for capital construction, field maintenance, and customer-initiated gas growth work. The coordinator ensures accurate tracking and fulfillment of requests to meet work plans and regulatory requirements while collaborating closely with Field Operations management personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare road opening permit applications in compliance with local permitting agency requirements.
  • Ensure accuracy and data quality in work management systems and trackers for regulatory compliance and work plan progress.
  • Monitor permit application statuses and adhere to departmental cycle times for timely permitting.
  • Facilitate daily discussions with operational supervisors and contractor foremen to ensure work progression and crew utilization.
  • Coordinate and balance internal resources to optimize short- and long-term resource needs and achieve annual work plan objectives.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, share best practices, and ensure timely project delivery.
  • Engage with municipal officials to secure necessary approvals for work progression.
  • Challenge existing processes and seek improvements to drive greater efficiencies.
  • Serve as a backup to the Resource and Work Coordination Supervisor for permit-related matters.
  • Support the training and development of bargaining unit personnel involved in the permit process.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of related work experience (P4).
  • Associate’s degree or 5+ years of related work experience (P3).
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Applications.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible schedules, extended hours, and travel to multiple work locations within the state as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous utility experience or knowledge of natural gas system operations.
  • Experience with work planning and scheduling processes.
  • Experience with process management and improvement.
