Applications are being accepted for the following position:

POSITION: English Learner (EL) Paraprofessional - (9 Months)

EST. BASE SALARY: $13,859 - $13,876 (Range based on verified years of experience) Employees receive an annual supplement in addition to their base salary, in accordance with district policy and subject to board approval

CRITERIA:

• Must meet Louisiana state paraprofessional requirements
• Pass the ETS Para- Pro PRAXIS (score of 450); OR complete two years of full -time study (48 semester credit hours) from a state -approved or regionally accredited ins titution of higher education; or earn an Associate of Arts, Science, or Applied Science degree from a state -approved or regionally accredited institution of higher education
• Physical and mental stamina and ability to perform job functions, tasks, and duties; and
• Bilingual fluency in English and a target district language (such as Spanish or Arabic) is highly preferred to fulfill translation duties. Diplomas, certificates, and other supporting documentation must be submitted with the application.
