Primary Purpose:

Support the district's enterprise information systems (EIS) by providing technical expertise, user assistance, and process improvement to ensure accurate, secure, and efficient management of student, financial, and operational data. This role bridges the needs of end users, vendors, and the technology department, ensuring that enterprise systems meet district requirements, comply with data privacy regulations, and enable the effective use of information to support district goals.

Qualifications:

Education and Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field (preferred)
  • Equivalent combination of education and directly related professional experience may substitute for a degree

Experience

  • Two (2) years of experience in a computer-related field
  • Experience with education-specific enterprise information systems, preferably within the PowerSchool application suite (eSchool and eFinance)
  • Experience in an educational or public sector environment (preferred)

Knowledge and Skills

Required

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Strong technical troubleshooting skills with a proven record of resolving complex issues
  • Proficient organizational, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
  • Self-directed, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Customer service orientation with the ability to present solutions in user-friendly, business-friendly language
  • Advanced in productivity software (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace) and related digital tools.

Preferred

  • Working knowledge of applicable data privacy laws and regulations, including HIPAA and FERPA

  • Working knowledge of K-12 business operations and educational processes

Key Responsibilities:

System Support and User Assistance

  • Collaborate with end users to identify needs, troubleshoot issues, and deliver effective technical solutions
  • Provide timely support for system enhancements, integrations, and modifications with minimal disruption to operations

Documentation and Compliance

  • Develop and maintain accurate documentation, including user manuals, system guides, license agreements, and maintenance contracts
  • Ensure data management practices comply with applicable regulations (e.g., FERPA, HIPAA) and district policies
  • Maintain secure and accessible records within enterprise systems, ensuring confidentiality and availability for authorized personnel

Process Improvement and Data Management

  • Analyze and document business processes, identifying opportunities for efficiency and improved functionality
  • Partner with stakeholders to enhance workflows while minimizing the impact of system changes on business operations
  • Establish methods and procedures to track data quality, completeness, redundancy, and accuracy
  • Maintain current knowledge of enterprise information system tools, trends, and best practices

Vendor Coordination and Systems Integration

  • Serve as the primary liaison with system vendors, collaborating to resolve issues, design system enhancements, and support implementation efforts
  • Assist in testing, evaluating, and deploying upgrades or new features within enterprise applications

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to all district policies, procedures, and expectations as outlined in the employee handbook and administrative regulations
  • Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures
  • Participate in professional development, faculty/department meetings, and special events as assigned
  • Perform additional duties assigned to support the mission and goals of the district and department
