    About the Opportunity

    Vector Talent Solutions is conducting a confidential search on behalf of an established manufacturing organization seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist.

    Position Overview

    Our client is seeking an EHS Specialist to support environmental, health, and safety programs within a large-scale manufacturing environment. This position will help ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, and local requirements while supporting policies, procedures, training, audits, and programs designed to promote a safe and environmentally responsible workplace.

    The EHS Specialist will work closely with employees and leadership throughout the facility to monitor EHS performance, identify potential risks, investigate concerns, and support continuous improvement. This role requires someone who is comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing operation.

    Responsibilities

    • Support implementation and continuous improvement of environmental, health, and safety policies, procedures, processes, and programs
    • Monitor compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental and safety requirements
    • Track waste management programs and related environmental compliance activities
    • Administer safety communication and facility safety walk programs
    • Audit, analyze, and track EHS performance data and recommend improvements
    • Investigate environmental, health, and safety concerns and support corrective actions
    • Support ISO 45001, ISO 14001, IATF 16949, and other applicable certification requirements
    • Conduct EHS training and communicate safety expectations, performance, goals, and progress
    • Lead and participate in meetings focused on improving EHS performance and reducing workplace risk
    • Support facility safety goals, 5S practices, and initiatives designed to maintain a safe and clean working environment
    • Stay current on industry requirements, regulations, and EHS best practices
    • Support additional environmental, health, and safety programs as assigned

    Qualifications

    • High school diploma or GED required
    • 2 to 5 years of related EHS, safety, environmental, or manufacturing experience preferred
    • Working knowledge of environmental, health, and safety practices within an industrial or manufacturing environment
    • Ability to research, interpret, and support compliance with applicable environmental and safety requirements
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills
    • Ability to investigate EHS concerns, analyze performance data, and support corrective actions
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Ability to effectively train and communicate EHS requirements across multiple levels of an organization
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
    • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with employees and leadership

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree or comparable combination of education and relevant professional experience
    • Experience supporting ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 programs
    • Experience within an automotive, powertrain, or high-volume manufacturing environment
    • Experience supporting environmental compliance and waste management programs
    • Experience with SAP or other manufacturing systems

    This position may require schedule flexibility, including rotating between shifts and working nights, weekends, holidays, or overtime as operational needs require. Domestic or international travel may also be required.
