We are seeking an experienced Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Specialist to support environmental compliance, workplace safety, and regulatory programs within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This position partners closely with operations, engineering, maintenance, human resources, and leadership to reduce risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen a culture of safety.

What You'll Do
- Administer and support environmental, health, and safety programs across the facility.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
- Conduct safety inspections, compliance audits, hazard assessments, and environmental evaluations.
- Lead incident, injury, near-miss, and environmental investigations using root cause analysis.
- Develop and deliver employee EHS training, including new hire safety orientation.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to support equipment implementation, process improvements, and risk reduction initiatives.
- Maintain required permits, compliance documentation, training records, SDS files, and regulatory reports.
- Support emergency preparedness planning, regulatory inspections, and third-party audits.
- Assist with lithium-ion battery safety programs, emergency response planning, and battery storage compliance.
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives, employee engagement, and 5S activities that strengthen workplace safety.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing, automotive, industrial, warehouse, or distribution environment.
- Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, NFPA, and applicable environmental and safety regulations.
- Experience conducting safety audits, incident investigations, hazard assessments, and corrective action management.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Experience developing and delivering employee safety training.
- Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with EHS management systems is a plus.
