Description
EHS Professional responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) programs and processes within the organization. The role focuses heavily on regulatory compliance, EHS audits, reporting, employee/management training, and communication with regulatory authorities.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and implement EHS processes, programs, and improvement initiatives.
- Plan and execute EHS program/project rollouts and track milestones.
- Monitor compliance with EHS standards and prepare regular reports.
- Track changes to EHS laws and regulations and recommend updates to internal standards.
- Support internal and external EHS audits.
- Prepare regulatory and internal EHS reports.
- Maintain communication and working relationships with government/regulatory authorities.
- Train employees and management on EHS requirements and programs.
- Stay current on local, regional, and applicable regulatory standards.
Qualifications
- Strong EHS/environmental health & safety background.
- Experience with EHS regulatory compliance and reporting.
- Experience supporting or conducting EHS audits.
- Knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local EHS regulations.
- Comfortable developing and rolling out EHS programs.
- Strong communication and training skills.
- Experience interacting with regulatory agencies/official authorities.
- Manufacturing, healthcare, laboratory, medical-device, or other regulated-industry experience would be valuable.
