We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Permanent EHS (Environmental, Health, and Safety) Manager to join our thriving manufacturing team. This individual will play a pivotal role in ensuring our operations are safe, environmentally friendly, and compliant with all relevant regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food safety, HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points), and supervisory roles. Responsibilities:
1. Develop, implement, and manage all EHS programs and policies to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
2. Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety standards.
3. Lead the development and implementation of HACCP plans and food safety programs.
4. Provide training and education to staff on EHS policies, procedures, and regulations.
5. Investigate incidents and accidents, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventative measures.
6. Coordinate with management and staff to improve workplace safety and health.
7. Manage and supervise the EHS team, ensuring a high level of performance and engagement.
8. Stay current with all EHS regulations and best practices in the manufacturing industry.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5+ years of experience in an EHS role in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on food safety and HACCP.
3. Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
4. In-depth knowledge of EHS regulations and standards, including OSHA, EPA, and FDA.
5. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) designation is preferred.
6. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex safety concepts to all levels of the organization.
7. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment.
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and EHS management systems.
