Job Description
We are looking for a dependable and safety-focused
Safety Specialist to join a manufacturing company in the solar industry. This position will be responsible for promoting a safe work environment, identifying workplace hazards, supporting safety programs, and ensuring employees follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
General Job Duties
- Conduct routine safety inspections throughout the facility.
- Identify hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure employees properly use PPE and follow safety procedures.
- Assist with employee safety training and orientations.
- Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses.
- Maintain safety records, reports, and documentation.
- Help ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety requirements.
- Communicate safety concerns to supervisors and management.
- Assist with safety audits and inspections.
- Promote a strong safety culture throughout the workplace.
- Support emergency procedures and workplace safety programs.
- Perform other general safety duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Previous safety experience in manufacturing, warehouse, construction, or industrial environments preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and workplace safety practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to identify and address safety hazards.
- OSHA or other safety certifications are a plus.
- Must be flexible and willing to work days, nights, or weekends.
