Description

EHS Manager

Lead all site Environmental, Health & Safety programs and initiatives. Ensure compliance with OSHA, Cal-OSHA, EPA, and applicable regulatory requirements. Develop, maintain, and improve safety policies, procedures, and training programs. Partner closely with HR to support employee safety training and compliance efforts. Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments. Lead incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action programs. Manage hazardous waste, environmental compliance, and permitting activities. Develop emergency preparedness and response programs. Track and report EHS metrics, KPIs, and compliance performance. Facilitate safety committee meetings and cross-functional improvement initiatives. Serve as the primary contact during regulatory inspections and audits. Promote a proactive, employee-engaged safety culture throughout the organization. 1 direct report. Support multiple facilities and collaborate with local and corporate stakeholders. Drive continuous improvement efforts that improve safety performance and operational effectiveness.

The Successful Applicant

A successful EHS Manager should have: Bachelor's degree required, preferably in EHS, Safety Management, Environmental Science, or a related field. 7+ years of EHS leadership experience within a manufacturing environment. Food manufacturing experience strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of OSHA, Cal-OSHA, and environmental regulations. Experience building safety culture and driving behavior-based safety initiatives. Ability to influence and collaborate effectively across operations, HR, maintenance, quality, and leadership teams. Excellent communication, training, and presentation skills. Strong organizational skills with a hands-on, accountable leadership style. CSP or other professional safety certifications are a plus. Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
