    Description

    Our client is seeking a EHS Manager who will be responsible for leading environmental, health, and safety programs across a manufacturing campus. This role focuses on developing, implementing, and maintaining safety and environmental systems that support a proactive safety culture, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement. The position requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to influence safety performance at all levels of the organization.

    Responsibilities:

    • Monitor changes in EHS regulations and ensure ongoing compliance.
    • Track, analyze, and report EHS performance metrics, trends, and KPIs.
    • Coordinate internal and external compliance audits and regulatory inspections.
    • Maintain required EHS documentation, permits, records, and regulatory reports.
    • Serve as a resource for Safety Committees, Emergency Response Teams, and site leadership.
    • Evaluate equipment, processes, and work environments for safety and ergonomic improvements.
    • Recommend and implement engineering controls, administrative controls, and PPE improvements.
    • Lead incident investigations, determine root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.
    • Provide EHS leadership, guidance, and support across the facility and associated campus locations.
    • Lead safety initiatives that strengthen a proactive safety culture and continuous improvement mindset.
    • Support workers' compensation case management, return‑to‑work programs, and injury‑prevention initiatives.
    • Partner with operations, maintenance, engineering, and HR to identify, evaluate, and mitigate workplace hazards.
    • Support sustainability and environmental compliance initiatives, including waste management and environmental reporting.
    • Develop, implement, and maintain environmental, health, and safety programs that promote safe work practices and employee engagement.
    • Conduct new‑hire safety orientation and deliver required annual training in accordance with OSHA, EPA, DOT, and internal requirements.
    • Conduct facility inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

    Qualifications (Must-Haves)

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and EHS reporting systems.
    • 3–5 years of EHS experience in a manufacturing environment.
    • Strong communication, analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.
    • Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DOT, and applicable state/federal regulations.
    • Experience with continuous improvement methodologies and behavior‑based safety programs.
    • Demonstrated ability to lead EHS programs and influence safety performance at all organizational levels.
    • Experience leading regulatory audits, environmental compliance programs, and safety management systems.
    • Bachelor's degree in industrial hygiene, occupational health & safety, engineering, or a related technical field; or equivalent experience.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Professional certifications such as CSP, ASP, CHMM, or equivalent.
    • Experience in food manufacturing, dairy processing, or other regulated manufacturing environments.
