    The vision of Gas Turbine Fuel Systems Division is to be the global leader in the design, development, manufacture, and service of engine fuel, lubrication, and thermal management systems and components for aerospace/defense and industrial applications. By leveraging our expertise in analysis, atomization, combustion, fluid metering, and control - coupled with enterprise excellence - we will exceed customer expectations and achieve our business objectives.

    SUMMARY:

    To coordinate all aspects of environmental, health and safety (EHS) management to successfully meet or exceed enterprise and business unit goals.

    SCOPE/SUPERVISION AND INTERACTION:

    • Does Not Have Direct Reports

    • The EHS Manager will report to an individual with responsibility in manufacturing or operations for the business segment.

    • The EHS Manager has a dotted line relationship with Corporate EHS and other functional business unit leaders as well as EHS Managers within their business segment.

    • Scope is the Mentor OH facility

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

    • Responsible for execution of EHS programs and procedures cascaded from Corporate, Group or Division to meet enterprise and business unit EHS objectives and targets with an emphasis on Safety and Accident Prevention, EHS Regulatory Compliance and Resource Conservation.

    • Responsible for execution of applicable EHS management systems which includes the Corporate EHS Directives, ISO 14001 certification and any other applicable EHS management system certifications or elements.

    • Responsible for EHS reporting which includes performance against targets and goals, regulatory reporting, and corporate, business unit and customer required reporting.

    • Manages an EHS training program for applicable EHS training required across the business unit from employee to leader.

    • Coordinates an EHS corrective action program which would include EHS audits, regulatory inspections, industrial accidents, customer EHS audits and other assessments that identify EHS issues that require corrective action with the exception of environmental remediation of property.

    • Coordinates a resource conservation program which will include but not be limited to energy use, water use, and waste generated from production.

    • Manages an EHS program for change which includes new processes, equipment, materials and people.

    • Provides support as directed for acquisitions, divestitures, facility closure and environmental remediation of property.

    • Support awareness and integration of EHS into other functional areas such as Lean, Quality, Supply Chain, HR, Sales, Service and Innovation. Leverage existing systems and procedures in those functional areas to the extent possible in EHS management.

    • Supports an EHS culture of excellence for safety and environmental management through effective communication.

    • Manages the EHS aspects of contractors that do work on site.

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • B.A./B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline, professional level experience of six or more years and demonstrated ability to perform the described role and responsibilities and obtain the desired results. Certification or a professional designation in a specialty area may be required or preferred depending on position requirements.

    • Proven competency in a team leader role for two or more years, and/or demonstrated leadership of major projects or programs in a team environment.

    • Thorough knowledge of products, manufacturing processes and technology, information systems, and/or specialty areas, and general business practices.

    • Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives.

    • Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities. Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals. Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change.
