Are you passionate about creating a safer workplace while helping drive environmental compliance and continuous improvement across logistics operations? Marvin, a premier window and door manufacturer in North America, is opening a new distribution center in Dalton, GA. Join our team as an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Coordinator and play a key role in advancing a culture of safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence.

 

In this role, you'll partner with leaders, associates, and external agencies to support safety programs, environmental initiatives, training, audits, and compliance activities across logistics operations. This position primarily supports the Dalton distribution center while contributing to company-wide safety and environmental objectives as needed.

Highlights of your role:
  • Coordinate Environmental, Health and Safety activities at the Dalton distribution center to support compliance with OSHA, environmental regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
  • Partner with the EHS Manager to develop, maintain, and improve site safety programs, procedures, training materials, and compliance documentation.
  • Track, analyze, and report safety metrics, incident data, and observations to identify trends and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead or support incident investigations, safety audits, inspections, safety committee activities, and corrective action follow-up efforts.
  • Assist with environmental compliance activities, reporting requirements, and data collection while helping maintain permits, plans, and related documentation.
  • Support transportation safety initiatives and partner with local and yard drivers to promote safe operations and regulatory compliance.
You're a good fit if you have (or if you can):
  • Associate's degree in Environmental Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Occupational Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field preferred; equivalent education and experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of one year of experience supporting environmental compliance, workplace safety, or EHS programs in a manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or industrial environment preferred.
  • Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, incident investigation practices, safety audits, employee training, and compliance documentation.
  • Effectively communicate safety expectations and facilitate training programs for employees with varying levels of experience and responsibility.
  • Manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail in investigations, reporting, recordkeeping, and compliance activities.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% annually to support safety and environmental initiatives at other distribution center locations as needed.
Also want to make sure you have:
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance requirements and reporting processes, including EPA regulations, state agency requirements, environmental reporting, and ISO 14001 standards.
  • OSHA 30-Hour certification, 40-Hour Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) training, Forklift Train-the-Trainer certification, First Aid/CPR/AED certification, and Bloodborne Pathogens Train-the-Trainer certification.
  • Experience partnering with associates, leaders, vendors, and regulatory agencies to support a strong safety culture.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word, with the ability to learn proprietary business systems and software.
  • Experience supporting VPP certification, safety committees, ergonomics programs, employee wellness initiatives, or similar continuous improvement efforts.

Compensation: Starting at $24 an hour, based on experience
