    Description

    EH&S Coordinator

    12-Month+ Contract | 1st Shift | Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM

    Our client has an immediate opening for an EH&S Coordinator for a 12-month+ contract opportunity. This position will support environmental, health, and safety programs and help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
    The EH&S Coordinator will assist with safety inspections, hazardous waste management, environmental compliance, employee training, and workplace safety initiatives.

    Schedule
    • 1st shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM
    • Occasional weekend or overtime work as required

    Responsibilities
    • Assist with implementing and monitoring environmental safety programs and policies to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental, health, and safety regulations
    • Maintain safety equipment inventory and perform periodic safety inspections
    • Monitor hazardous waste removal vendors and assist with consolidating hazardous waste, including chemical, radioactive, and/or medical waste
    • Work with various departments and conduct training in emergency response and hazardous material handling
    • Monitor environmental compliance and maintain communication with appropriate regulatory agencies
    • Recommend corrective actions when environmental, health, and safety hazards are identified
    • Assist with the administration of the workers' compensation program
    • Support the implementation of workplace ergonomics and program solutions
    • Monitor industrial health compliance

    Qualifications
    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or an Associate's degree plus three years of related experience
    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in environmental health and safety or a related field
    • OSHA safety certification required
    • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and hazard mitigation techniques
    • Proven ability to identify risks, prevent injuries, and ensure regulatory compliance
    • Experience in risk management, global EHS programs, laboratory safety, or construction safety
    • Experience with data analysis and reporting
    • Strong root cause analysis and decision-making skills
    • Excellent communication and training skills with the ability to influence across teams
