Efficiency Center Coordinator, Assurance

The Bonadio Group is currently seeking an Assurance Efficiency Center (AEC) Coordinator to support our Assurance Service Line. This is an opportunity to join a collaborative team focused on enhancing efficiency through standardized processes, technology, and operational support. The AEC works closely with audit engagement teams across the firm to perform a variety of audit-related procedures and support services that contribute to the successful execution of assurance engagements.

Responsibilities

• Participate in in-person and virtual training programs to develop technical and operational knowledge related to audit support services.
• Collaborate with AEC team members and client-service professionals to complete assigned engagements and tasks.
• Prepare and maintain audit workpapers and engagement files.
• Assist with client portal setup, rollforward activities, and document request management through MyPortal.
• Draft and update engagement letters, management representation letters, audit reports, and other engagement-related documents.
• Perform financial statement and disclosure tie-outs, recalculations, and quality control procedures.
• Map and document Service Organization Control (SOC) reports.
• Perform standardized procedures in various audit areas, including:
  • Journal entry testing
  • Payroll testing
  • Investment testing
  • Confirmation processing and tracking
  • Other substantive and compliance-related procedures as assigned
• Assist with preparation, organization, and review of client-provided documentation.
• Utilize firm technology and automation tools to support efficient audit execution.
• Maintain accurate status updates and communicate progress, questions, or issues to AEC leadership.
• Collaborate with engagement teams to resolve questions and obtain necessary information.
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives and the continued development of standardized AEC procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; degree in Accounting or a related field preferred. Candidates actively pursuing a bachelors degree in Accounting will also be considered.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
• Ability to learn new technologies, audit software, and standardized processes.

This is an hourly position and will be paid at the rate of $21.00 per hour.

Hours of Operation:

• Our office hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday
• Our summer hours are from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, with Flex Friday scheduling available in accordance with firm policy and business needs
• We pride ourselves on our flexibility; however, the ability to work additional hours will be needed at peak times
