EE Value Optimization Engineer - Data Analytics & Savings Reporting

Mission

Support the Electrical Hardware Engineering (EHE) Value Optimization team by managing savings data, reports, dashboards, Finance coordination, and TCR system activities. This position requires strong data-analysis and visualization skills, along with basic knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Savings Tracking: Track EHE savings for Ecotech and EcoMkt initiatives across vehicle programs.

• Management Reporting: Prepare weekly, global, and executive management savings reports detailing forecasts, variances, risks, and implementation status.

• Dashboard Development: Develop interactive dashboards and visual reports using advanced analytics tools.

• Cross-Functional Representation: Represent the EHE VO team in program updates and value-optimization meetings.

• Financial Alignment: Coordinate with Finance to validate, trace, and officially book technical savings.

• Systems Management: Maintain EHE data and activities within the TCR system.

• Drift & Cost Review: Review cost notices and system-created drifts, assign them to the correct team member, and classify them as technical or non-technical.

• Discrepancy Resolution: Resolve complex savings and data discrepancies between engineering and Finance.

• User Support & Training: Support TCR users and train new team members on process and tool execution.

• Process Automation: Continuously improve reporting efficiency through automation and standardized processes.

Profile

Required Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Finance, or a related field.

• Experience: 3-5 years of professional experience in data analysis, engineering reporting, cost management, or automotive program support.

• Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar).

• Data Management: Proven ability to handle data from multiple disparate sources with high accuracy and traceability.

• Domain Knowledge: Basic understanding of automotive E/E systems (harnesses, ECUs, infotainment, connectivity, or ADAS).

• Communication: Strong interpersonal, written, and cross-functional coordination skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with TCR, savings-tracking, engineering-change, or OEM cost-management platforms.

• Knowledge of Ecotech/EcoMkt or similar automotive savings categories.

• Hands-on experience collaborating across Engineering, Finance, Purchasing, and Program Management.

• Technical proficiency with Power Query, SQL, Python, VBA, or macro automation tools.
