    Job Summary

    We are seeking an Expert EE Value Optimization Engineer to lead cost optimization initiatives across Electrical & Electronic (EE) systems while maintaining high standards for product quality, functionality, safety, and regulatory compliance. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams-including Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Finance, and Suppliers-to identify, evaluate, and implement value engineering opportunities throughout the product lifecycle.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead EE Value Initiatives: Direct value engineering and cost optimization initiatives for Electrical & Electronic (EE) systems across current and future vehicle programs.

    • Identify System Opportunities: Uncover cost-reduction potential in wiring harnesses, controllers, sensors, power distribution, lighting, infotainment, ADAS, and electronic modules.

    • Cost & Feasibility Studies: Perform design-to-cost, should-cost, and value analysis studies while balancing quality, performance, weight, manufacturability, and reliability.

    • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with Design Release Engineers (DREs), Purchasing, Suppliers, Manufacturing, and Program Management to implement approved optimization projects.

    • Benchmarking & Analysis: Conduct competitive teardown analyses and industry benchmarking to identify best practices and cost-saving opportunities.

    • Technical Reviews: Review engineering drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), technical specifications, and supplier quotations to build optimization proposals.

    • Leadership Presentations: Present value optimization recommendations and technical analyses to engineering leadership.

    • Tracking & Governance: Monitor project savings, implementation status, and financial impacts against program targets.

    • Change Management & Mentorship: Support engineering change management activities (ECN/ECR), ensure compliance with automotive engineering standards, and mentor junior engineers on value engineering methodologies.

    Profile

    Required Qualifications

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related discipline.

    • Experience: 8+ years of automotive Electrical & Electronics (EE) engineering experience.

    • Specialization: Strong background in value engineering, cost optimization, product development, or design release engineering.

    • EE Domain Expertise: Deep understanding of automotive EE architecture, wiring harnesses, ECUs, body electronics, lighting, power distribution, and vehicle communication networks.

    • Supplier & Team Collaboration: Proven experience collaborating with global suppliers and cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.

    • Process Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of DFMEA, DVP&R, APQP, Engineering Change Management (ECN/ECR), and GD&T.

    • Core Skills: Excellent analytical, presentation, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

    Preferred Qualifications

    • Hands-on experience with OEM automotive product development processes and engineering standards.

    • In-depth knowledge of CAN/LIN/Ethernet communication protocols and vehicle electrical architecture.

    • Experience using PLM and CAD/EE tools (e.g., Teamcenter, CATIA V5/V6, Capital Harness, or similar software).

    • Proven track record leading Value Analysis/Value Engineering (VA/VE) workshops and supplier cost-reduction initiatives.

    • Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Value Engineering certification.
