EDW Architect (On-site), W2 only, No C2C

Our client is seeking an experienced EDW Architect to support a large-scale data center co-location and migration project in Brooklyn, NY. This initiative focuses on modernizing infrastructure, mitigating risk, and improving system reliability and performance while consolidating multiple data centers into a single environment.

This role will play a critical part in supporting systems that power essential services, including public assistance, housing and shelter programs, and benefits distribution.

• Design and implement enterprise data warehouse architecture to support large-scale migration initiatives
• Lead data modeling, database design, and data integration strategies
• Support migration of legacy systems to modern infrastructure environments
• Ensure data security, integrity, and performance optimization across systems
• Manage and support database upgrades, patching, disaster recovery, and system reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure consolidation efforts
• Monitor system performance and recommend improvements
• Support ETL processes and data integration across multiple platforms
• Provide technical guidance on database administration and engineered systems
• Ensure compliance with best practices for high availability and disaster recovery

Required Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data modeling, database design, data administration, and performance tuning
• Strong experience with data warehouse architecture, ETL processes, and database administration
• Hands-on experience with Oracle environments including migration, patching, upgrading, and recovery
• Experience with engineered systems, including LDOM and ZONES configuration
• Strong knowledge of disaster recovery and high-availability systems
• Experience with data integration, ETL tools (ODI, OWB), and file transfer processes
• Proficiency with SQL, PL/SQL, and scripting languages such as Python, Shell, or Java

Technical Skills

• Experience with Oracle technologies including Oracle RDBMS, ASM, RAC, Data Guard, RMAN, Grid Infrastructure, and Clusterware
• Experience with AWS Oracle RDS Custom and Oracle Cloud Control
• Experience with Oracle GoldenGate for data replication
• Familiarity with WebLogic, OBIEE, and Fusion Middleware administration
• Experience with ZFS file systems and high-redundancy storage design
• Knowledge of SSO using OAM and integration with Active Directory
• Experience with tools such as ODI, OWB, OBIEE, Oracle Portal, and Oracle Report Server
• Experience working in Linux, Unix (Solaris), and Windows environments
