Kindergarten Classroom Aide

Part-Time (5 days/week, 6.5 hours/day)

Pay Range: $17.48 - $20.00/ hour (Commensurate with experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking a warm, reliable, and enthusiastic Kindergarten Classroom Aide to join our team for this school year. In this role, you will work closely with our lead Kindergarten teacher to create a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment where our youngest learners can thrive.

The ideal candidate has a genuine love for working with children, brings a patient and positive attitude every day, and enjoys supporting students through their first steps in foundational education.

Key Responsibilities

? Instructional Support: Assist individual students or small groups with classwork, hands-on activities, and foundational learning concepts.

? Classroom Prep & Organization: Help prepare instructional materials, arts and crafts supplies, learning centers, and classroom displays.

? Student Supervision: Accompany and supervise students during transitions to special subjects (Art, Music, PE, etc.), lunch, recess, and dismissal.

? Classroom Management: Support the lead teacher in maintaining a safe, organized, and positive learning environment.

? Personal Care & Comfort: Provide gentle guidance with daily routines, handwashing, organizing belongings, and encouraging positive social interactions.

Qualifications & Requirements

? High School Diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or coursework in Early Childhood Education is a plus).

? Previous experience working with young children in a school, daycare, or structured program setting preferred.

? A warm, patient, and welcoming disposition.

? Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff and parents.

? Ability to pass required state/school background checks.

? Physical ability to move around the classroom quickly, kneel or sit on the floor with students, and lift up to 25-30 lbs if needed.

Work Schedule

? Days: Monday through Friday

? Hours: 6.5 hours per day (e.g., 8:45 AM - 3:15 PM, exact hours to be confirmed upon hire)
