Job Description:
HALL SAFETY MONITOR / 30 HOUR
CHESHIRE HIGH SCHOOL
MONDAY - FRIDAY 6:30AM - 2:30PM
Description:
- Helps ensure orderly student and staff movement throughout the school day;
- Assists students and staff as needed including escorting students with potential disciplinary issues to the office or other areas;
- Monitors student lavatories and maintains student sign-in log;
- Receives, greets, and directs school visitors and maintains visitor log;
- Conducts perimeter patrols as necessary;
- Monitors video surveillance cameras and completes reviews as necessary;
- Monitors for and reports any violations of school rules or school security standards to school administrators as necessary. Reports facts, observable trends, and makes appropriate recommendations for improvements to school administrators;
- Monitors and reports on student/staff parking violations;
- Performs other duties as related to their position as assigned by their immediate supervisor.
Supervised By:
High School Principal or his/her designee.
Qualifications:
High school diploma. A minimum of two years experience working with students (either chaperone, substitute, etc.).
Salary:
In accordance with the Agreement Between the Cheshire Board of Education and the CSEA/SEIU Local 2001/760 in behalf of the Cheshire Paraeducators, Lunchroom/Playground Aides, Hall Monitors & Study Hall Monitors. Starting Salary $18.63/hr, Benefits available.
